I truly can't say enough about these jewels. I've had a love affair with them for many years now, which has helped to curb my sugar cravings and add the extra sweetness into my life.
Although dates are high in sugar, they are also bound with soluable fiber which actually helps with balancing blood sugar levels and can help to decrease cholesterol. These sweet gems are also an excellent source of B vitamins, copper, iron, potassium and magnesium. They can help with balancing hormones, support your digestive system and liver.
The options are endless when it comes to using dates. I use dates daily, in drinks, in baking and as a sweet treat for my kids. Of course, I don't use them in large quantities daily but a few a day does the trick. My son literally thinks he's hit the jackpot when I offer him one and oh boy, do they help with keeping him regular!
