Vanilla Chaga Tea Latte

This is what peace and serenity looks like in brief moments. Life is totally chaotic with two small children and I needed something that warms and nourishes me, something comforting. Chaga mushroom is the perfect choice for me; naturally caffeine free, rich in antioxidants, full of vitamins and minerals, supports adrenal glands (this is a big one for anyone who has children and is sleep deprived, like me!) and digestive health. Another bonus, my 3 year old also loves this tea so we have regular "coffee" dates.

I make a batch of this in the morning and stick it in a thermos. Sometimes, well most of the time, I don't have time to sit down and enjoy the whole drink so through out the day I pour myself a little bit and enjoy the warmth. It keeps my energy going with the protein from hemp and sunflower seed butter and, well, just makes me feel awesome.

  1. Throw everything into a high speed blender and blend on high for about a minute.
  2. Enjoy!

Update: You can brew the chaga mushroom into a tea or you can use 1 tbsp of chaga mushroom powder and 2 cups of boiling water with everything else added. I've been using the powder to save time and you get to ingest the ground mushroom as well. It doesn't change the flavour at all!
